== Biography ==Eliza Waterman Jarwood was born around 1810, probably in London, England. She was the daughter of [[Jerwood-2|John Jarwood]] (also spelt Jerwood) and [[Waterman-1052|Nancy Waterman]]. She was christened on 17 June 1810 at St Mary, Rotherhithe.
She was admitted as a pupil to the Royal Masonic School for Girls, at Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire on 21 October 1819. She later had a long career as matron of the school.
She passed away on 28 August 1886 at London, aged 76. Her death was registered at Wandsworth.
