Thomas was born about 1858. He was the son of [[Hanna-2077|Robert Hanna]].

WELLINGTON TO BE THE HEADQUARTERS.We are in a position to state that the headquarters of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. (Limited) are about to be removed from Auckland to Wellington. Mr. T H Hanna, who has for some years been in charge of the company's business at Blenheim, has been appointed to succeed Mr, W. G. Foster as manager in Wellington. Messrs J. H. Bethune and Co. will today hold an unreserved sale of superior household furniture at “Tirerangi,” Claremont terrace, by instructions from Mr T. H. Hanna, who is leaving Wellington. The furniture consists of a splendid walnut and gold piano, handsome drawingroom settee suite, elegant Chippendale bedroom suite, 100 volumes interesting books, and a great variety of drawing-room, dining-room, bedroom' and kitchen requisites. MR. T. H. HANNA The death occurred at his residence at Whakapirau, in the Kaipara district, this week, of Mr. Thomas Henry Hanna, at the age of 76. Born in Belfast, Ireland, Mr. Hanna came to Now Zealand in early youth. On leaving school he joined the Bank of New Zealand, and later the staff of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, becoming manager for the firm. at Blenheim and subsequently manager of the Wellington branch. After retirement front active business he resided with his family at Whakapirau, where he took a keen interest in local affairs. He is survived by his wife, four sons and two daughters [ New Zealand Herald, Volume LXXI, Issue 21827, 15 June 1934 ]
