Mary was born in 1844. She was the daughter of [[Mandeno-18|James Mandeno]] and [[Lloyd-2468|Jane Lloyd]]. She passed away in 1910.
DEATH AT NINETY-EIGHT.MRS. MARY JACKSON. OVER 73 YEARS IN AUCKLAND. The death occurred in Auckland yesterday of Mrs. Mary Jackson, aged 98. widow of the late Captain Thomas Jackson, for many years a stipendiary magistrate in the Waikato and Pukekohe districts. Mrs. Jackson was a daughter of the Rev. J. F. Mandeno, who came to Auckland with his family in August, 1855. She was the eldest of a large family, of which she was the only surviving member. For a short period after her arrival she resided at the house of Mr. Busby, British Resident at Kororareka (Russell). She married Captain Jackson two years after landing in New Zealand. Captain Jackson died 22 years ago. There are three daughters, Mrs. P. S. Smallfield and Misses M. and J. Jackson, and one son, Mr. W. M. Jackson, all of Epsom.
