    Moore-5367 and Moore-5692 are not ready to be merged because: First of all, the merger should be 5692 into 5367.

    Second - there are a number of conflicts in the info that need to be reviewed before it is confirmed that this is indeed the same person.

      == Biography == This is the Thomas Moore of Salem, Massachusetts Not to be confused with John and Thomas Moore of Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut {whose parents are unknown}.
      === Uncertain Origin ===This profile originally asserted, without source a birth of 5 Jun 1616 in Outlaw, Suffolk, England. His parents origins are not known (stated without source as Southwold, Suffolk, England by Belknap in his "Grafton Family"“The Grafton family of Salem” Reprinted from the historical collections of the Essex Institute, volume LXIV, by Henry Wyckoff Belknap. p 1 -4. Essex Institute. Salem, Massachusetts. 1928. [https://archive.org/details/graftonfamilyofs00belk/page/n7/mode/2up The Grafton family of Salem] ). His claimed-but-unproven sister [[Moore-4343|Mary]] married first Edmund Henfield by about 1622 based on the baptisms of their children at St. Nicholas, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk and then Joseph Grafton on 30 August 1631 at the same place as "widow Henfield" before emigrating to Massachusetts in 1637. IF Mary was his sister and it is possible but NOT PROVEN then likely this family was from somewhere not too far from Great Yarmouth.
      Given his birthdate asserted by Torrey in "New England Marriages to 1700" and using WikiTree standards for age 25 at first marriage for a male, that puts his birthdate at "about 1611".
      According to Bill Puttman, Thomas Moore and his parents came from Southwold, Suffolk County in England to the Puritan Colony at Salem, Massachusetts about 1630 (without evidence).{{Citation needed}} (again, Puttman does not cite Belknap who originally made the unsupported Southwold origin claim in 1928 but this is certainly his Puttman's source).
      Thomas and wife Martha Moore were granted land in Salem in 1636[https://www.google.com/books/edition/Annals_of_Salem/jkefpuvvgmMC?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=the+annals+of+Salem.++Moore&pg=PA172&printsec=frontcover Annals of Salem], annals from its first settlement. Felt, Joseph B. (Joseph Barlow), 1789-1869 Note: Salem, W. & S. B. Ives, 1827 and widow Ann Moore was first recorded there in 1637 shown by early Salem Land Grants, cited by Belknap::''In the first list of grants, Dec 26, 1636 to July 12, 1637 is the entry, 'Tho: Mores widdow 10 acres''

      === Marriage and Children ===
      Thomas married twice:
      Thomas married, by 31 July 1636, probably at either Salem or Southold, Long Island to Martha Youngs whom Torrey listed as "sister of Christopher Youngs of Salem".MOORE, Thomas (?1615-) & 1/wf Martha [YOUNGS] (1613-1671), sis Christopher YOUNGS of Salem; by 31 Jul 1636; Salem/Southold, LI $subscription required]Putman, Bill, [http://www.billputman.com/the-genealogy/families-related-to-my-putman-line/Youngs1.pdf Youngs Family History.] accessed 14 Feb 2021. Unsourced site that makes unsupported claims such as a Moore emigration in 1630 and that Mary Moore married Joseph Grafton in Salem; she did not, she married Edmund Henfield and then Joseph Grafton both in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England On that date the couple was accepted as residents of Salem.Perley, Sidney, The History of Salem, Massachusetts, 3 vols. === Occupation ===Event: Shipbuilder FROM 1651 TO 1691 Southold, Suffolk, Long Island, NYNote: He was a shipwright and shipbuilder. His shipyard was south of his home on Town Creek. In his time, Town Creek came up the east side of his property past the Main Road.

      === Residences and Property ===Thomas immigrated c. 1630 to Salem with his parents and siblings.Putman, Bill, [http://www.billputman.com/the-genealogy/families-related-to-my-putman-line/Moore1.pdf The Moore Family] accessed 14 February 2021. He and Martha were married in 1636 when they were accepted as inhabitants of Salem. After their marriage, they were allocated "one fishing lot on the neck," and in 1636 they received another 20-acre grant.
      On December 27, 1642, Thomas Moore was made a Freeman at Salem. Not long after, he removed to Long Island. By 1644, the Salem Church issued dismissal papers. A son was baptized at Salem in 1650, and shortly after in 1651, the family removed to Southold with other followers of Martha's brother, the Reverend John Youngs.
      He was also chosen Constable in 1658. He was a magistrate under the later Dutch rule in 1673. In 1671 wife Martha died and about 1680 Thomas remarried.

      === Offices ===On May 26, 1658, Thomas was chosen from Southold as Deputy from Southold to the General Court of the New Haven Colony.

      === Death ===Thomas Moore remained in Southold until his own death on June 27, 1691. His will was written on June 23rd, and he died four days later. It would appear his second wife was still alive (a three-time widow), at that time.

      25 June 1691"... Judge of ye Prerogative Court was proved & approved the last Will & testamt of Thomas Moore deceased at Southhold ye 25th day of June Anno Dom 1691 and having by his said Will & testamt nominated & appointed his sons Thomas & Nathaniell Moore his Executors."
