    • == Biography ==
      Nathaniel was a mariner, as was his father and brother. [[Belknap|Belknap]], pg. 20. He was made a Freeman in 1680. [[Belknap|Belknap]], pg. 20. He inherited land from his father as well as the widow, Ann or Hanna Moore, in 1664/5. [[Belknap|Belknap]], pg. 20. He joined with his brother and father in signing the petition against Imposts in 1688. [[Belknap|Belknap]], pg. 20.

      === Birth ===Nathaniel was the son of Joseph and Mary (Moore) Grafton. [[#Allerson|Allerson]] [[#Belknap|Belknap]], pg. 12. He was baptized 1 may 1642 at the First Church in Salem. [[Belknap|Belknap]], pg. 20.

      === Death ===Nathaniel died 11 February 1670/1 at Barbados. He was cast away on the ketch ''Prudence.'' He died intestate and his widow brought to court and inventory, 27 June 1671, and was appointed administer of his estate. [[Belknap|Belknap]], pg. 21.

      === Marriage ===He married Elizabeth Maverick, daughter of Moses and Remember (Allerton) Maverick, on 30 September 1649. [[Belknap|Belknap]], pg. 20. She was ordered to raise the children by the courts after Nathaniel died. [[Belknap|Belknap]], pg. 21.
