Also - this is a shot in the dark, but someone might consider if John Lawrence-4231, the Marian martyr, had any children.

    • == Biography ==John [s/o Rev. John Lawrence, ca.1500-Apr 1572] acquired land in Fressingfield in 1582. In 1589 he purchased from Michael Wentworth the lordship of the manor of Fressingfield Hall, which he gave to his son James in 1608.
The 1613 Inquisition Post Mortem of John Lawrence of Fressingfield, Suffolk, b.ca.1525 d.Sep. 1609, is given in NEHGS v.167, Jan. 2013, pp.37-54. John was predeceased by 3 wives: (1) Anne Sammes, (2) Alice [Vesey] Gunvile, and (3) Mary [Coker] Garrington Turner Pellett.
"He was a gentleman of a great estate and exceeding in liberality to the poor. In the time of Queen Elizabeth (r. 1558-1603), he preached at Fresingfield, co. Suffollk. He was seized of St. James Park, South Elmham, co. Suffolk. Copinger states that he bought the manor of Fressingfield in 1589. He gave it to his third son, James, who, with his brother Nathaniel, alienated it (probably a settlement) in 1614.
