  == Biography ==Humphrey Munning was the son of Humphrey and Ellen Ungle Munning of Semer, Suffolk, England. Humphrey recieved his M.A. from Madgalen College in 1585. He was ordained a deacon and priest in 1589. Humphrey was made the Rector of Thornham Magna, Suffolk 1596-1597 and then Rector of Brettenham 1597-1624. He died in 1624. He married Elizabeth Winthrop, daughter of William Winthrop, cousin of Governor John Winthrop.Gov. John Winthrop Papers, Vol. 1-5, 1557-1649. (Online database. AmericanAncestors.org.
