== Biography ==
Henry Kemball, born about 1590, as he was noted to be aged 44 in 1634, was likely a brother of Richard) who also came with him and settled in Watertown. His father is presumed to be Richard Kemball of Lawford, Essex, England. Great Migration 1634-1635, I-L. (Online database. AmericanAncestors.org. New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2008.) Originally published as: The Great Migration, Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, Volume IV, I-L, by Robert Charles Anderson. Boston: New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2005.
He married Susan Stone, widow of Richard Cutting on November 27, 1628 at Great Bromley, Essex, England. Smith, Dean Crawford & Melinde Lutz Sanborn. The Ancestry of Eva Belle Kempton, 1878-1908, New England Historic Genealogical Society, Boston, Massachusetts, 1996, p. 258-64: 448-9
Henry and Susan sailed with their children Elizabeth, Susan and Richard Cutting, from Ipswich, Suffolk, England either 10 April 1634 or "last of April 1634" and arrived Boston in July 1634 on the ship "Elizabeth," William Andrews, master. Hotten: James C. The Original Lists of Persons of Quality; Emigrants; Religious Exiles; Political Rebels; Serving Men sold for a term of years; apprentices; children stolen; maidens pressed; and others who went from Great Britain to the American Plantations, 1600-1700 : with their ages and the names of the ships in which they embarked, and other interesting particulars; from mss. preserved in the State Paper Department of Her Majesty's Public Record Office, England, London, England, 1874. p. 280-2
Also on the same ship was Richard Kimball, wife Ursula, and a set of children , believed by Anderson in The Great Migration to be brother of Henry.

They settled in Watertown, Massachusetts.
* 1636: July 25: Granted 35 acres in the third division at Watertown.* 1635/7: February 28: Granted Lot 80, 6 acres of plowlands. * 1637: June 26: Granted Lot 65, 6 acres of remote meadow.
* 1638: May 2: Freeman at Watertown.
* 1642: May 10: Granted a farm of 105 acres.
His homestead in Watertown was situated near the corner of what are now Belmont and Common streets. He also owned land in other parts of the town.
Henry died by July 22, 1648 when the inventory of his estate was probated. The inventory including housing, land, chattels and goods was valued at L43 11s.
At a court hearing on April 1, 1651, their son John Kimball, aged 14 years, chose John Shearman of Watertown as his guardian. At the same hearing Thomas Straite acknowledged that he had received his wife Elizabeth's portion from her father Henry Kimball's estate. John Randall acknowledged the same for his wife Susanna's portion.
Henry Kemball's widow, Susan, married for her third husband Thomas Loe or Low. She survived him and died August 19, 1684, aged 86. Vol. 53: The American Genealogist. New Haven, CT: D. L. Jacobus, 1937-. (Online database. AmericanAncestors.org. New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2009 - .)

Disputed Parents:
Some say he was son of Henry Kimball and Johan/Joan Unknown. But Anderson makes the case that the Richard Kimball and Henry Kemball on the ship Elizabeth were brothers. He makes the case that they were sons of Richard Kimball of Lawford, Essex:Robert Charles Anderson, The Great Migration: Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, vol IV:154, citing Kimball Family of America (1890), p 17):
:"The identity of the father of this immigrant [Henry Kemball] is based on geography and occupation. In his will proved on 10 September 1619, Richard Kemball of Lawford, Essex, wheelwright, bequeathed to "my eldest son [implying there were younger sons] Henry Kemball all my working tools belonging to my trade except out of them as many as hall be fitting for to serve to axe a cart withall". The immigrant Henry Kimball had his first two children baptized at Mistley, Essex, immediately adjacent to Lawford. We do not know the occupation of the immigrant Henry Kimball, but we do know that his brother Richard Kimball was a wheelwright, as were some of his sons."
Following wikitree guideslines, we have therefore detached him from Henry K. Kimball IV and Johanna M. Eysley for whom there is absolutely no proof of parentage, and followed Anderson's recommendation and attached him to Richard and Elizabeth as parents.
