== Biography ==Per author Robert C. Cushman: Sara Reader was christened in St. Mary's, Lenham, Kent on 17 September 1585. The entry reads as follows: "Baptizata fuit Sara filia Pauli Reader" [was baptized Sara daughter of Paule Reader]. Her older brothers, associates of Cushman in Canterbury, were also christened in St. Mary's. Thomas in 1580 and Helchea (or Helkias) in 1583.
Also per author Robert Cushman: Her father was Lenham Yeoman Paule Reader, who died in 1597, and their mother was Ellen Larkin from Chatham (not Chartham). His will reference is PRC/17/50.396, Lenham. See LDS Family History Library, Salt Lake City, Utah, microfilm #1751918, Item 3. Archdeacons transcripts: Baptisms, marriages and burials 1564-1813, (Lenham).
Robert remarried to Mary Clarke June 3, 1617 England.
Wife of Deacon Robert Cushman and mother of Elder Thomas Cushman and Sarah Cushman Hoskins. Robert and Thomas migrated to Plymouth Colony aboard the "Fortune" 4 years after Sara's death.She is buried at St. Peters Church, Leiden, Zuid-Holland Province, Netherlands.
She is commemorated with other deceased Separatists who are named in a plaque on the wall of St. Peters Church (Pieterskerk) in Leiden.
