- == Biography ==John Sturtevant was born to [[Sturtevant-3|Samuel Sturtevant]] and [[Lee-42|Ann Lee]] on 4 Sep 1658 at Plymouth, Massachusetts. He was the twin brother of Hannah Sturtevant
[Robert H. Sturtevant, Descendants of Samuel Sturtevant (1986 Edition), 2-6.]John first married Hannah Winslow about 1685. After her death in 1709 he married Mary (Smith) Haskell, widow of Mark Haskell, on 12 Jul 1711.
In 1749, his daughter Hannah Cotton and his grandson Theophilus Cotton petitioned the probate court to declare him non-compos mentis. He was very aged and unable to care for himself.
