People ask me how I can ride my bike 30kms to work – isnt it hard?
Well, yeah its hard – the hardest bit is making myself do it.Once I am going its not too bad. You reach a level of fitness where its hard, but you recover quickly, but the time you have had a shower even.
The hard bit.. the REALLY hard bit.. is getting on my bike and cycling the 30kms home at the end of the day. It is the real kicker.. sitting around in the office all day, putting wet stinky cycle gear back on.. tired muscles.. that’s when you find it the hardest.. and it is the best training you can get – its in the mind
