been cycling into work for a while now, and been trying to get my time down to an hour. Recently I bought this bike:
Its a Ghost GSR, with ultegra gears and mavic rims. Its a great bike. Previously it was taking me 1 hr 10- 1 hr 25 for the trip. The average was about 1 hr 15.
These days I have managed to get it to just over one hour:
its all about the RPM. I’m working on getting slightly lower gears but higher rpm (pedal speed) and this enables me to maintain a higher average speed, particularly up hill, Thanks to Steve Parker of Planet Cycles for the tip.
